Xueyi Fu

Board Director, Global ESG Leadership Association (GELA)

Xueyi Fu is a youth leadership organizer, project executive, and sustainability advocate with extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering large-scale international initiatives. She currently serves as President of the Columbia Global Sustainability Leadership Association (CGELA) for the 2025–2026 term, providing strategic direction and organizational leadership to one of Columbia University’s most active student-led sustainability platforms.

In her role as President, Ms. Fu led the organizing committee of the 2025 Columbia University Global Sustainability Summit, a flagship international event that convened more than 500 participants, including scholars, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals from around the world. Under her leadership, the summit delivered a comprehensive program spanning sustainable development, sustainability innovation, global governance, and emerging technologies, and significantly enhanced CGELA’s visibility, credibility, and institutional impact within and beyond the university community. Her work demonstrated strong capabilities in large-scale project management, stakeholder coordination, and high-level event execution.

Beyond her work at Columbia University, Ms. Fu serves as an Overseas Talent Recruitment and Engagement Ambassador for the Shenzhen Longgang Returned Overseas Talent Liaison Center, where she supports international talent outreach, cross-border exchange, and global engagement initiatives. In this capacity, she contributes to bridging overseas talent networks with regional innovation ecosystems in China, facilitating dialogue around entrepreneurship, technology, and sustainable development.

Ms. Fu brings substantial experience in team leadership and organizational management, having led diverse teams across academic, nonprofit, and international collaboration settings. Her strengths include strategic planning, execution under complex timelines, and aligning multidisciplinary teams toward shared goals in high-impact projects.

Academically, Ms. Fu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master’s degree in Applied Analytics from Columbia University, where she developed strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities. Her interdisciplinary academic background—combining economics, data-driven analysis, and applied strategy—supports her work at the intersection of sustainability leadership, organizational management, and global collaboration.

Through her leadership at CGELA and her engagement in international talent and sustainability initiatives, Ms. Fu continues to advance youth-led action, cross-border cooperation, and the practical implementation of sustainable development goals in a global context.
